Anthony Sinclair Recreates Daniel Craig's Casino Royale Madagascar Shirt

Anthony Sinclair has announced the release of a faithful recreation of the Madagascar shirt worn by Daniel Craig in the opening chase sequence of Casino Royale (2006).

Created in collaboration with Academy Costumes, the Madagascar Shirt is based on the original costume designed by Academy Award-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming and originally made by Academy Costumes. The shirt appears in the very first scene Craig filmed as James Bond, during the foot chase in Madagascar.

Twenty years later, Academy Costumes has returned to the original patterns and production techniques to recreate the shirt in partnership with Anthony Sinclair.

Cut from the original Liberty printed cotton fabric, the shirt retains the details of the screen-used original, including a soft spear-point collar, square hem with side vents, and short sleeves finished with adjustable button tabs that allow the sleeve opening to be worn closer to the arm or more relaxed.

The shirt is priced at £295 / $395 and is available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin on August 28, 2026.

Matching Madagascar Trousers are also available. Like the shirt, they have been recreated by Anthony Sinclair in collaboration with Academy Costumes using the original patterns and construction developed for Casino Royale. 

Worn by Daniel Craig during the Madagascar chase sequence, the trousers are cut from Irish linen woven by John England and feature a relaxed straight-leg fit, drawstring waistband, slanted side pockets and two rear patch pockets.

Designed for one of the most physically demanding scenes in the Bond series, the trousers combine screen accuracy with practical summer wear. The lightweight Irish linen offers breathability, while the unstructured fit makes them suitable for warm-weather travel and casual resort wear.

The trousers are priced at £295 / $395 and are available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin on August 28, 2026.

The Madagascar Shirt and Trousers are made in England as a limited-edition release commemorating the 20th anniversary of Daniel Craig's debut as 007.
