Beutiful looking shoe, i most certainly need a pair.
Well, my Philip's arrived this morning....and once again I'm not disappointed! The quality and craftsmanship is of the highest order.
My advice? Get yourself a pair ASAP!
I've heard good things about this website after reading about the Brown Suede Chukkas, so I decided to buy a pair of their Oxfords.
This is the link I originally used: http://www.walkerandgunn.com/shoe-john-white/1004/john-white-oxford-black
Shoes arrived 2 days after ordering and the fit and finish is excellent for the price.
thses are some nice ass shoes G
There is no doubting the quality of a Church shoe,I have worn a pair of Ryder chukka boots for 10 years with no problems at all.Another good English shoemaker admired here in England to rival Church would be 'Crockett and Jones'.
Although still formal with 'closed lacing' Craig's shoe is more interesting than a plain Oxford because of the brouge punching at the toe cap.
If you prefer this feature I would also recommend English maker Grenson's 'Underwood' in the Rushden range. This shoe gives me all the benefits of a closed laced shoe but with a 'pointy' toe style similar to Craig's John Lobb's.
The Johnston & Murphy ALDRICH II CAP-TOE looks almost identical and is very comfortable.
