The 007 Drinks Archive

The 007 Drinks Archive is a substantial hardcover reference book dedicated to the drinks, cocktails, bottles, glassware and bar accessories featured throughout the James Bond novels and films.

Created by James Bond collector and author Chris Distin, the book covers all 13 Ian Fleming James Bond novels and the 25 official EON Productions films, spanning more than 70 years of Bond history.

The project is the result of more than two years of research and over 3,000 hours of work. At over 500 pages, the book brings together a large amount of drinks-related information, including bottles, glasses, cocktails, bar utensils and other objects identified in the films and novels.

Distin originally started the project with the aim of identifying every whisky consumed by James Bond and other characters throughout the Fleming novels and EON films. As the research progressed, the scope expanded to include the wider world of drinks and drinking accessories connected to Bond.

Among the subjects explored are the history of the Vesper Martini, the origins of the first Martini glass and the porcelain tableware owned by Bond in Ian Fleming's novels.

The book also examines dozens of specific bottles, glasses and bar accessories seen on screen or mentioned in the books, making it useful as both a visual guide and a reference work for Bond collectors and enthusiasts.

Augmented reality content

The 007 Drinks Archive includes augmented reality features accessed through the Artivive app. Selected pages connect to additional video content, including bartenders preparing Bond-inspired drinks and other material related to subjects featured in the book.

Ian Fleming London map

The book also includes access to an interactive map featuring 37 London bars, hotels and restaurants connected to Ian Fleming.

Designed for use on a mobile device, the map adds information about the locations and allows readers to explore places associated with Fleming's life and time in London.

Editions

The 007 Drinks Archive is printed and bound in Germany and is available in two versions.

The standard edition features a leather-optic hardcover with gold embossing. 

The Luxury Leather Limited Edition uses recycled leather with gold embossing and is limited 250 signed copies.
