Crockett & Jones Highbury and Alex Casino Royale 20th anniversary editions
Crockett & Jones has announced two limited editions, Highbury in Black Patent and Alex in Black Calf Suede, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Casino Royale. Both take inspiration from one of James Bond’s most recognisable wardrobe choices: the tuxedo.

Bond’s wardrobe has always been an integral part of his character. His elegant silhouette conveys confidence and competence, while his combinations of British clothing and footwear continue to inspire Crockett & Jones.
As a long-standing official partner and footwear supplier to James Bond, the Northampton shoemaker has revisited two established Bond styles for the anniversary. Although the collection celebrates Casino Royale, Highbury and Alex only appeared in later Daniel Craig films.
Highbury in Black Patent
Highbury is a plain-fronted, three-eyelet Derby, worn by James Bond in Skyfall, SPECTRE and No Time To Die. The style also featured in Crockett & Jones’ collection celebrating the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger (read more).

For the Casino Royale anniversary edition, Highbury has been reinterpreted in black calf patent leather with a Hand Grade channelled leather sole.

While the Derby usually bridges the gap between smart and smart-casual footwear, this version gives the design a formal evening wear finish.
Highbury is crafted at Crockett & Jones’ factory in Northampton, England, using Last 348, known for its classic, chiselled shape.

The interior features purple calf lining and silver-foil Crockett & Jones and 007 logos. Each pair comes in exclusive 007 packaging with fully lasted, handmade shoe trees bearing the 007 logo.

Highbury retails for £895 / $1,250 / €1,050 - shop now
Alex in Black Suede
Alex is a wholecut Oxford made from a single piece of black English calf suede, featuring Crockett & Jones’ Hand Grade channelled leather sole.
One of the brand’s most recognisable James Bond styles, Alex first appeared in SkyFall in 2012 and returned in SPECTRE. The anniversary edition introduces a suede finish to the sleek design, offering another option for evening wear.

The English Oxford has a history stretching back more than two centuries. Its name is thought to have originated with students at Oxford University, although the style itself is believed to predate the name.

Like Highbury, the anniversary Alex is fully leather lined in purple calf, with silver-foil Crockett & Jones and 007 logos.

It is presented in exclusive 007 packaging with a pair of fully lasted, handmade 007 shoe trees.

Purple lining inspired by Vesper Lynd
Both editions are fully leather lined in purple calf, a reference to the colour of Vesper Lynd’s dress during the high-stakes Texas Hold’em poker scenes in Casino Royale.
