Heckler & Koch UMP-9
One of the finest James Bond moments is the last scene in Casino Royale, where Bond becomes... Bond. He ruthlessly shoots Mr. White in the leg, and utters the famous words "Bond. James Bond".
The unusual weapon of choice for this moment is nothing less than a HK UMP-9, a black, lightweight submachine gun. Bond uses a UMP with a silencer and a curved magazine.
The UMP (Universale Maschinenpistole, German for "Universal Submachine Gun") is a submachine gun developed and manufactured by Heckler & Koch. The UMP is a blowback-operated, magazine-fed submachine gun firing from a closed bolt.
There are three versions of the UMP: the UMP45, firing a .45 ACP cartridge; the UMP40, firing a .40 S&W cartridge; and the UMP9, firing a 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. The last one, 9mm, is the one used in Casino Royale, hence the 9 in UMP-9.
The UMP is also clearly visible on the Quantum of Solace artwork, and it features again in the beginning of this Bond movie.
Bond uses another Heckler & Koch rifle in SkyFall, but that is a HK416.

There is a Soft air version of this gun, called Umarex UMG. I've added two links: one to the official Umarex UMG website and one to an online store that sells it.
uh, the is no such thing as a silencer. It was a suppressor, and from the looks of it, it was made by Gemtech. Don't mean to be a prude, but I know this site strives for realism so I just thought I would give FYI. Cheers.
Thanks, James, for pointing that out. The word Suppressor is more correct. I have changed it.
Jmames Bond is the best, i love his style, mood, his fame, and his character! im also a spy in my school ! i love my work and i also love my team ! also i love the way that final touch of the UMP-9 at the end of Casino Royale !!!!!
I guess I'll give some info about this too. I've found these on gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com on occasion. Obviously I'm reffering to US weapons. There are no actual UMP9's or UMP45's though. They're all USC conversions. None of them are actual fully auto or burst weapons but they usually do come multiple position lowers. There is also a law about the "parts count". The parts count is a number of original parts that have to be maintained on the weapon so some conversions aren't exactly legal. The civilian versions of these have ran in the high $5,000 range. Good luck finding one.
I can't find the soft air product anymore
why can we not se how much they are
Harrry Worm, if you read my previous post, I describe how much they are and where to get them and also the legality issues. Try using the scroll bar before posting comments.
I'm gonna have to correct you in a couple of places Joel. There are select fire, true UMP's around and for sale, they just require you are an FFL, with a paid SOT and a "demo letter", from a PD or other Gov. agency requesting a demo, which is required by the BAFTE to transfer a machine gun manufactured after the 86 freeze of the registry, otherwise known as a "post sample".
The "parts count" is actually 922(r) or the sporting clause. This doesn't require that a certain number of original parts be maintained. It requires that any rifle, built on a receiver manufactured outside of the US, not have any more than 10 non-us made parts if it is capable of accepting a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds.
As for finding one HDPS sells conversion of both a regular title 1 rifle, and a title 2 short barreled rifle for $3600-$4200 depending on configuration and caliber.
