James Bond plays a central role in the opening of Bait, a new Prime Video television series created by and starring Riz Ahmed.

Amazon MGM Studios presented their plans for the near future at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Wednesday, 2 April and Bond 26 was mentioned briefly in a short statement.

Amazon MGM Studios announced that producers Amy Pascal (best known for her work on the Spider-Man franchise) and David Heyman (who produced all eight Harry Potter films) have come aboard to produce the studio’s upcoming James Bond film.

Amazon MGM Studios, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli today announced that they have formed a new joint venture to house the James Bond intellectual property rights, and those parties will remain co-owners of the franchise.
