1969 Aston Martin DBS
The Aston Martin used by James Bond (George Lazenby) in On Her Majesty's Secret Service was a green, six cylinder DBS.
The car can be seen in several scenes in the movie, for example in the beginning of the movie when Bond is chasing after Tracy, and then again during the wedding. Unlike Bond's previous car, the silver Aston Martin DB5, no gadgets were seen in this car, other than a mounting for a telescopic-sight rifle in the glove compartment. In the final scenes of the film, Tracy is shot and killed while sitting in the car.
Trivia
The number on the license plate of Bond's Aston Martin is GKX 8G.
An Aston Martin DBS made a brief appearance in Diamonds are Forever, view image on imcdb.org.
An Aston Martin DBS was also used for the TV series The Persuaders! (1971-1972), in which Roger Moore's character Lord Brett Sinclair drove a Bahama Yello 6-cylinder DBS, which through the use of alloy wheels and different badges had been made to look like a DBSV8 model.
The original car used in the film is now owned by an Aston Martin fan in Australia, read more.
To celebrate the 50th anniverdsary of the appearance of the car in the film in 2019, a DBS Superleggera On Her Majesty's Secret Service was created.

The opening scene with this Aston always makes me laugh..."This never happened to the other guy." haha, priceless!
Lord Sinclair's Aston isn't "gold-painted", it's Bahama Yellow.
This could quite possibly be one of the udliest Aston's ever! I wish they would have realized how much of a classic the DB5 was going to become and they could have quit trying to "update" Bond until they had an Aston worth the challenge.
I bought this car from Astons in 1974.They could not sell it due to the "terrible james bond" association. Cost me around 2450 pounds stg. Shipped it back to Australia. Wish I'd kept it.
The AM DBS appears six times in OHMSS not two. Beach sequence,Villa by red Cougar, At Sir Hilary's office, At jewelers shop, end sequence, and at hotel. I bought the car in 1974 and shipped it to Australia.
