Both partners celebrate an anniversary this year: BOGNER is turning 90 years old and the James Bond franchise will celebrate 60 years since the first 007 film, Dr. No (1962), was released.

The partnership between Bogner and 007 started over 50 years ago when Willy Bogner Junior, son of Bogner’s founding couple had the honour of coordinating the world's first action ski scenes for On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), starring George Lazenby as James Bond.

It was not only Willy Bogner's own Olympic experience in alpine skiing, but also his outstanding camera skills that ensured the film’s spectacular ski descents through bobsled runs and crevasses were captured for the cinema audience. Building on the success of the first collaboration, Willy Bogner would go on to work on three more James Bond productions: The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), For Your Eyes Only (1981) and A View To Kill (1985). Bogner only recently, in 2019, stepped away from the day-to-day operations of the company.

Bogner clothing can be seen prominently in several of the Bond films (read more in this article).

James Bond also wears Bogner ski wear, as do many other characters in skiing scenes, in some of the Roger Moore films. James Bond wears a yellow Bogner suit in the famous opening sequence for The Spy Who Loved Me, while his attackers wear black and red suits.

In For Your Eyes Only, 007 wears a blue Bogner ski jacket, Bogner pants and Bogner gloves in most of the scenes in Cortina D'Ampezzo, while Bibi Dahl (Lynn-Holly Johnson) wears a red Bogner ski suit with black 'western' hat.

Kristatos's henchman and olympic athlete Erich Kriegler (John Wyman) also wears a Bogner suit, black with green stripes.

In the pre-title sequence of A View to a Kill, another ski-scene, Bond wears a completely white Bogner outfit, including a jacket with a fur hood (recently sold by Prop Store), thermal shirt with zipper and gloves, and a pair of Bogner sunglasses.
