A rare Rolex Submariner 6538 and a Rolex 5513, both models known to be worn by James Bond in his films, will be offered at the Bonhams Fine Watches and Wristwatches Sale in New Bond Street, London on 9 December.
Note that the watches on auction have NOT appeared in the films but are the same model.
A Rolex Submariner used during the filming of Licence To Kill will be auctioned at Fellows Auctioneers in Birmingham. The magnificent timepiece - worn by Timothy Dalton’s stunt double during filming of the film in 1989 – is estimated at £60,000 - £90,000 in Fellows’ upcoming Watch Sale on Tuesday 30th October 2018.
Rolex and James Bond have a strong connection. Before Omega started supplying the watches for 007, Bond used a Rolex in several movies: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, Licence to Kill, The Living Daylights.
