Faroe Islands
The stunning Kalsoy island, part of the Faroe Islands, is a prominent location in No Time To Die.
Filming for No Time To Die took place on the islands in autumn 2019.
The winding roads and tunnels through the dramatic mountains on Kalsoy island will form a perfect backdrop for the film.
Scenes in the movie were filmed in the village Trøllanes for two days and the crew filmed at the nearby stunning Kallur Lighthouse for three days. Both attractions are located on the island’s northernmost end, the most beautiful and impressive part of the island.
The landscapes in the Faroe Islands are very dramatic. The wilderness is untouched and visited by very few people while another unique quality about the islands is the location close to the Arctic Circle. During autumn and winter, the low sun creates an eternal moodiness throughout the day. This allows for a prolonged ‘Golden Hour’ of photography.
Daniel Craig or any of the other actors were never on Kalsoy island during the filming. It was logistically too challenging, so the actors were put into the digitally reimagined scenery on Kalsoy island.
