Bregenz Open Air Theatre, Austria
An important scene in the Bond movie Quantum of Solace takes place in and around the stunning open air Opera building in Bregenz, Austria. From April 29th until May 9th, 2008, the Bond team filmed several scenes with Bond (Daniel Craig), two villains (played by Matieu Amalric and Anatole Taubman), and the beautiful Bond girl (portrayed by Olga Kurylenko).
The scenes take place right before and during a night performance of the opera Tosca. The action will take place in the audience and the special VIP areas of the opera. The incredible stage is especially created for the Opera Tosca, and according to the Bond producers, forms a perfect backdrop for an important scene in Quantum of Solace. Tosca, the operatic thriller about love, power and jealousy by Giacomo Puccini, was staged in Bregenz for the last time in 2008, the summer after the filming, from 23 July to 23 August.
