Royal Albert Hall to host the World Premiere of Spectre on 26 October 2015
The Royal Albert Hall will be the location of the SPECTRE Royal World Premiere on Monday 26 October 2015. The World Premiere, selected as CTBF’s Royal Film Performance 2015, will be attended by Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
The CTBF Royal Film Performance is annually held in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), the charity for the UK film, cinema and commercial television industries, dedicated to providing support for those working behind-the-scenes in times of hardship. SPECTRE will be the third Bond film chosen as an RFP title since its inception in 1946.
The World Premiere will also be attended by the film’s leading actors Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, David Bautista, Monica Bellucci, and Ralph Fiennes. The cast will also be joined on the red carpet by director Sam Mendes and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, vice patrons of the CTBF.
SkyFall World Premiere
SPECTRE will be the third 007 movie to be launched at the Royal Albert Hall, following previous premieres of Die Another Day (2002) and SkyFall (2012) at the venue.
The launch of Die Another Day in 2002 saw the Hall transformed into an ice palace (see below) and was attended by the film’s stars Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry, as well as Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.
Die Another Day World Premiere
More recently, the venue hosted the premiere of SkyFall on 23 October 2012, with HRH Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall joining the likes of cast members Daniel Craig and Bérénice Marlohe on the red carpet leading to London’s most iconic venue for a packed movie screening.
You can still watch full stream of the SPECTRE premiere in the video here.
This SPECTRE premiere on 26 October 2015 will fall on the same night as the UK cinema release of the film, with the movie hitting cinemas worldwide on 6 November.
More details about the World Premiere will be announced in due course, but at this stage it is expected that tickets will not be available for general sale.
