Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger 007 Special Edition at Christie’s Charity Auction

Christie’s will offer a unique Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger 007 Special Edition during its Groundbreakers: Icons of Our Time live auction on 11 December. All hammer proceeds from the lot will be donated to charity, supporting Into Film, National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, The London Screen Academy, and UK Time’s Up.

This example is Edition 0/60, the only DB12 Goldfinger Special Edition reserved for EON Productions, and is finished in Silver Birch, the colour most closely associated with James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5.

The vehicle is not registered, delivered in UK right-hand drive configuration, and powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine producing 680PS and 800Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is built on Aston Martin’s aluminium bonded monocoque platform.

Estimate: £200,000 – £300,000 (VAT applies on hammer price and buyer's premium).

Design and 007-Inspired Features

The Goldfinger 60th anniversary theme is reflected throughout the car:

  • 21-inch silver-plated multi-spoke wheels with diamond turning and black brake calipers

  • Gold-burnished Aston Martin side strakes, commemorating 60 years of Goldfinger

  • Enameled script badges inspired by the DB5’s original badging, including a bright chrome “Q” fender badge

  • Sports Plus seats trimmed in a fluted DB5-style design with a bespoke Prince of Wales check perforation pattern, referencing Sean Connery’s suit in the film

  • Prince of Wales check-etched treadplates and Goldfinger 60th anniversary sill plaque

  • 18-carat gold-plated interior accents, including the mode rotary dial, roller controllers, and carbon-fibre inlays with woven gold fibres

  • Eight of Hearts embroidery on the driver’s sun visor

  • Gold-plated etched gear selector, inspired by 007’s magnetised tracker from the Goldfinger golf sequence

The car will be viewable by appointment at Christie’s London from 5–8 December, after which it will be transferred to Aston Martin Gaydon. Interested parties can contact the sale coordinator at epilling@christies.com.

At the same auction, a James Bond Dr. No poster will be offered for sale, with an estimate of GBP 20,000 – GBP 30,000.
