Hi Chris I'm normally a medium to large t-shirt but take a xl fitted shirt! 42" chest and 34" waist. I am quit stocky rugby player and I could only just touch the buttons to the holes and could no way do it up and move! I am now getting a xxl so will let you know! I do know the measurement from pit to pit on the large is 22" going up and down an inch depending on the size so the large is 44" on the outside of the jacket! And the jacket is thick! Hope this helps
