A collection of rare James Bond film posters, first edition books, costumes and other highlights including a signed Golden Gun replica will be auctioned at Ewbank's on February 11, 2022. This article has been updated with auction results.
Roger Moore’s screen-worn shirt as 007 and a selection of rarities linked to Thunderball come together for Ewbank’s Auctions latest dedicated James Bond auction on July 8, 2021.
Thunderball highlights include an extremely rare British Quad Advance poster for the 1965 film which is expected to fetch up to £12,000.
Ewbank’s latest Bond auction on April 9 saw 98% of the 370 lots sell for a massive, premium-inclusive £220,000 – almost £90,000 more than had been predicted.
Ewbank’s Auctions continue their dedicated James Bond sales on April 9, with one of the rarest posters from the series expected to fetch up to £12,000, and several S.D. Studios prop replicas.
Created for Thunderball (1965), the Advance British Quad poster features four panels promoting 007 and his antics, two by Frank McCarthy and two by Robert McGinnis.
At the time of the premiere of the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997, a promotional Samsonite attaché briefcase was given out (probably by EON Productions) to VIPs and partners. The Samsonite cases contained promotional products from sponsors, an invitation to the World Premiere after party, and various stills, production notes and related material.
A brooch worn by Lois Maxwell as Miss Moneypenny in two James Bond films will be sold at auction at Ewbank's.
