Turnbull & Asser launches new Casino Royale Collection for 20th Anniversary
Turnbull & Asser has launched a new ten-piece Casino Royale Collection, reimagining James Bond's famous black-tie look as the Daniel Craig film celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Rather than recreating the outfit seen on screen, the British shirtmaker has imagined what Bond might wear at the Casino Royale table today. The complete evening wardrobe is built around Turnbull & Asser's signature Midnight Blue and includes a velvet dinner jacket, trousers, dress shirt, bow tie, cummerbund, braces, socks and three James Bond pocket squares.
Turnbull & Asser has a long history with James Bond, stretching back to Dr. No in 1962. Its pieces have appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day and Casino Royale, including shirts, ties and evening accessories.
Turnbull & Asser in Casino Royale
Released in 2006, Casino Royale introduced Daniel Craig as a younger James Bond at the beginning of his career as 007. One of the film's most memorable sequences sees Bond face Le Chiffre in a high-stakes Texas Hold'em game at Casino Royale in Montenegro.
Black tie plays an important role in the scene, with Bond famously changing into a dinner suit provided by Vesper Lynd before taking his place at the table.
The original dinner suit worn by Daniel Craig in these scenes was made by Brioni, while Turnbull & Asser supplied Bond's distinctive white dress shirt and black shantung silk bow tie.
Twenty years later, Turnbull & Asser has returned to that moment for a much broader interpretation of Bond's evening wardrobe.
Casino Royale Midnight Blue Velvet Dinner Jacket
The centrepiece of the collection is a new dinner jacket cut in Turnbull & Asser's signature Midnight Blue.

Made from velvet and framed by silk satin lapels, the jacket deliberately moves away from simply recreating Bond's original black Brioni dinner jacket. Instead, it offers a new interpretation of traditional Bond black tie, with the Midnight Blue colour giving the jacket additional depth and texture.

Casino Royale White Dress Shirt
The new Casino Royale dress shirt is made from crisp white cotton and features a meticulously pleated bib.

Alternating broad and fine pleats reference Turnbull & Asser's Double Stripe, while Midnight Blue silk-covered buttons connect the shirt to the rest of the new collection. It is a fresh design rather than a reproduction of the Turnbull & Asser shirt worn by Daniel Craig in the film.

Casino Royale Midnight Blue Trousers
Designed to accompany the new dinner jacket, the Casino Royale trousers are made from fine wool in Midnight Blue and finished with a traditional silk satin stripe running down the side.

Together with the velvet jacket, they form Turnbull & Asser's new interpretation of Bond's complete dinner suit.

Casino Royale Midnight Blue Bow Tie
A silk bow tie completes one of the most recognisable elements of Bond's black-tie wardrobe.

For the new collection, Turnbull & Asser has replaced the black of the bow tie worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale with its signature Midnight Blue, matching the dinner jacket and other accessories in the collection.

Casino Royale Midnight Blue Cummerbund
The new Midnight Blue cummerbund adds another traditional black-tie element that Bond did not wear with his Brioni dinner suit in the film.

Turnbull & Asser has included it as part of its complete contemporary Casino Royale evening wardrobe, coordinated with the bow tie and other Midnight Blue accessories.

Casino Royale Midnight Blue Braces
Braces are another important reference to Bond's Casino Royale poker outfit.

The new Turnbull & Asser version continues the Midnight Blue theme of the 2026 collection and is designed to be worn with the matching evening trousers.

Casino Royale Midnight Blue Socks
Even the socks have been included in Turnbull & Asser's head-to-toe interpretation of Bond's evening wardrobe.

The Midnight Blue socks coordinate with the dinner suit and accessories while keeping to the traditional simplicity of black-tie dressing.

Casino Royale Playing Cards Pocket Square
The first of three silk pocket squares draws directly on the casino setting at the heart of the film, using playing cards as a reference to the game between Bond and Le Chiffre. The design is intended to reveal different details depending on how the pocket square is folded.

Casino Royale Straight Flush Pocket Square
Another pocket square references Bond's winning poker hand. Bond takes the decisive $115 million pot with a five-to-seven straight flush of spades, and Turnbull & Asser incorporates the hand into the silk design as one of the collection's most direct references to the film.

Casino Royale Crown and Laurel Pocket Square
The third silk pocket square uses a crown and open laurel as its central symbols. The crown provides a reference to royalty, while the laurel traditionally represents victory and achievement. Turnbull & Asser describes the open laurel as suggesting a story that is not yet complete, fitting the film's portrayal of Bond at the beginning of his career as 007.

The collection arrives during the 20th anniversary year of Casino Royale, a film that not only introduced Daniel Craig as James Bond but also established a new era of Bond style.
For Turnbull & Asser, the anniversary provides an opportunity to revisit its own part in that history while creating something new rather than simply reproducing the clothes from 2006.
The Turnbull & Asser Casino Royale Collection is available now in Turnbull & Asser boutiques and online.
