Turnbull & Asser Tomorrow Never Dies Diamond Tie
This silk Turnbull & Asser necktie with diamond pattern is the second tie by Turnbull & Asser from the movie Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).
The tie was originally designed especially for Pierce Brosnan.
The tie is worn by Brosnan as James Bond in an early scene in the movie. While he's improving his language skills, Bond is called to a meeting. He drives to the meeting in his Aston Martin DB5 and walks in, looking very well-dressed with a navy three piece Brioni suit and Turnbull & Asser dress shirt. The outfit is completed by the blue and gold Turnbull & Asser necktie.
The tie can then be seen in the scene when Bond is being driven through London in the government Daimler DS420 Limousine with M, Moneypenny and Deputy Chief of Staff Charles Robinson.
Bond still wears the tie when he arrives in Hamburg 'Airport' where he meets Q at the AVIS car rental booth to pick up his BMW 750iL 'rental' car. In those last two scenes, Bond wears the tie over a Turnbull & Asser cream shirt.
A screen-used Turnbull & Asser shirt and tie from the film were sold at a Bonhams auction in 2009 for £1320.
The tie was not available for years, until November 2020 when it is re-introduced as part of the James Bond 007 Collection.
Price: £187.50 / $375 / €310
