In the movie SkyFall (2012), we can spot an Anglepoise Type 1228 Desk Lamp on the desk of M (Judi Dench) and Bill Tanner (Rory Kinnear) in M's new underground office.

The Anglepoise Type 1228 Desk Lamp is a very recent addition to the Anglepoise range and a variation of the design icon, the Anglepoise Original 1227 Desk Lamp from the 1930s. The Type 1228 model was designed by Sir Kenneth Grange in 2004, and it offers all the functionality of the traditional Anglepoise (including the famous spring mechanism), but with a more contemporary aesthetic.

In the film, the Anglepoise Type 1228 Desk Lamp has an "Ice White" lamp shade. The lamps can clearly be seen when Bond meets M, Tanner and Mallory as they discuss Bond's test results. One lamp stands on M's desk, and the other lamp on Tanner's desk in M's office (in the same film Tanner also uses another desk with an Anglepoise Type 75 Desk Lamp to inspect the bullet fragments given to him by Bond, read more here). On M's desk we can also see the Royal Doulton Bulldog Union Jack statue, the one desk-item that survived the explosion at MI6.

The Anglepoise Type 1228 Desk Lamp in Ice White is available on Amazon.co.uk for £148.

In the underground office, dozens of Anglepoise Type 75 lamps, both in Jet Black and Brushed Aluminum, can be seen on the desks of other MI6 employees.

In the next movie SPECTRE, Bond has an Anglepoise Original 1227 Desk Lamp in his apartment.
