Judi Dench as M has a taste for designer furniture in her office. In The World Is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2006), the same Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman can be seen in the back of her office. The Eames chair can also be spotted in You Only Live Twice (1967).

In The World Is Not Enough, the chair can be seen when Bond has a drink with M and discovers that an attack on King is imminent.

In Die Another Day, we see the chair in the virtual reality scene, when Bond shoots M's attacker, and Q (John Cleese) steps into the virtual reality.

In Casino Royale we see the chair briefly when M is notified about Bond being poisoned.

In all movies, the same stainless steel cigarette ashtray can be seen next to the chair as well. In Quantum of Solace, M get's a new modern office with Bene furniture and Interstuhl chairs.

In the 1967 Bond film You Only Live Twice we can see two Eames Lounge Chairs and Ottomans, in the room in the volcano where Bond gets into the astronaut suit (thanks to Simon Payne for the spot).

The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman (footstool) were designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company and were released in 1956 after years of development by designers. The chair and ottoman are made of molded plywood and leather, and available in several color and wood combinations. M has the chair with black leather and brown wood (although we can't see which type of wood exactly).

The Eames chair and ottoman is one of the most famous designer chairs and one set is permanently displayed in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

The Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman cost approximately $4500 or more (depending on the wood and leather choice) in the USA. The European version (made by the company Vitra) starts at £4500 / €5500. Several companies offer Eames inspired chairs for around $700-$1000.

A black leather / brown wood Eames chair and ottoman were also featured in the tv serie Frasier, as part of Frasier's apartment interior decoration.

Other designer chairs owned by M (Judi Dench) are the Herman Miller Aeron and Knoll Barcelona chairs (Casino Royale, in her own appartment), Interstuhl Silver Chair 262S (Quantum of Solace) and an Interstuhl AirPad 3C42 in her office in SkyFall.
