Omega celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the first James Bond film with the launch of a commemorative limited edition watch, the Omega Seamaster Co-Axial 300M James Bond 007 50th Anniversary, available in two sizes (41mm and 36.25mm).

There are some features that distinguish these watches: their cases are made of stainless steel and they feature ceramic bezel rings with diving scales in matt chromium nitride except for the number "50" which is in red, as a reminder that the watch is celebrating a very special anniversary. Each version of the watch is presented on a classic brushed and polished Omega-patented screw-and-pin stainless steel bracelet. The lacquered black dial features a 007 monogram. The 41 mm version has 11 applied indexes; the 36.25 mm watch has ten with a diamond index at the 7 o'clock position - a reminder that this watch was created to honour the film history of agent 007. The indexes are coated with white Super-LumiNova with a blue emission, allowing ease of reading in all light conditions. There is a date window at 3 o'clock.

Perhaps the coolest feature is the 'bullet' decoration on the rotor, that rotates with the motion of the oscillating weight. This unique design can be viewed through a central sapphire crystal in the back of the case.

The watch has a self-winding chronometer, Co-Axial escapement-equipped movement with rhodium-plated finish. This Seamaster also has a unidirectional rotating bezel. A helium escape valve allows helium atoms to escape during decompression, particularly necessary for professional divers operating from diving bells. As its name suggests, the watch is water resistant up to 300 metres / 1000 feet / 30 bar.

The 41 mm version was produced in an edition limited to 11,007 pieces; the smaller watch was created in a limited edition of 3,007 pieces.

The watches were unveiled at a press conference and a showcase of props from every James Bond film at Omega's new Westfield Stratford (England) boutique (read more).

Great watch, but will it be used by Daniel Craig on Skyfall? Cause for Quantum of Solace Omega made two limited series, the seamaster wich didnt feature on the film at all, and the planet ocean that was worn by Bond on the movie. Does anyone know?
Have the mid size of this watch it is stunning. The dial is allot more subtle than on the photos. The back is beautiful. I have had more makes before but this is my alone favourite watch.
Swifty, I agree with you, the watch is beautiful. I bougt one recently and I can't keep my eyes away from it. The marketing has, in my opinion, partly failed what comes to the dial, on photos it looks quite messy, and the comments on forums are negative accordingly. But in real the dial is a bit "glittery", and only a closer look reveals the 007-pattern. Regards, 541/11007.
I have the original 50th anniversary 007 watch for sale never worn perfect condition, best offer Pictures and any information needed is available please reply to post
