India Maharana of Mewar pays tribute to late Sir Roger Moore

Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, chairman of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Sir Roger Moore crediting him with single-handedly raising the quality of life and transforming the economy in the city of Udaipur, India.

In the 1983 James Bond film Octopussy, several palaces in and around the town of Udaipur, India were used, most notably Shiv Niwas Palace (Bond's hotel), the Taj Lake Palace and Jag Mandir Palace which double as the home of Octopussy (played by Maud Adams) and Monsoon Palace (Kamal Khan's residence).

The Peninsula Hong Kong hotel appears in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974). In the film, James Bond (Roger Moore) follows Bond girl Andrea Anders (Maud Adams) from Macau to Hong Kong, where she's picked up by one of the hotel's "Peninsula-green" Rolls-Royces.
