"...that Prince among shampoos".

James Bond used Pinaud Elixer Shampoo in the novel On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
"His two battered suitcases came and he unpacked leisurely and then ordered from Room Service a bottle of the Taittinger Blanc de Blancs that he had made his traditional drink at Royale. When the bottle, in its frosted silver bucket, came, he drank a quarter of it rather fast and then went into the bathroom and had an ice-cold shower and washed his hair with Pinaud Elixir, that prince among shampoos, to get the dust of the roads out of it."
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Chapter 2

In the Young Bond novel Hurricane Gold, the shampoo is also mentioned, in a reference to the Ian Fleming novel.
"...he promised himself that he would only ever use that brand from now on in memory of the best shower he had ever had."
- Hurricane Gold, Chapter 24

In 2007 you could buy the original E.d. Pinaud Elixir Quinine Shampoo in original vintage packaging (including the carton box!) at The Dutch Shaving Shop for €8,50 (200ml); €15,51 (400ml), who had a very old stock of this otherwise sold out shampoo. But due to the announcement here on Bond Lifestyle, this item was sold out very quickly.

Currently Pinaud is still in business, and can be found at ClubmanOnline.com.

Very much the Prince of shampoos. I bought a bottle of the 200ml from the Dutch Shaving shop. Worth every penny even the box sings of quality.
Now step out of the shower and enjoy a glass of Taittinger

I wrote Pinaud and they have not made or sold this product in years. They also wrote that they do not have any plans on bringing it back.

They don't sell this anymore sadly, but they still have some sachets in stock for a couple of Euros.

AH, but here's a thing... www.barbershopclassics.nl DOES sell a current product, Pinaud Eau de Quinine lotion 370ml-12.5fl.oz http://bit.ly/1LnLWa which presumably smells exactly the same. It strikes me you could MAKE some of the shampoo using this and some fragrance free shampoo. There's a little Q project for someone. And the label you could copy from a decent picture... like the ones to the side here or maybe James Bond Lifestyle could supply a label to recreate it?

je veux acheter le shampoing à la quinine pinaud elixir, où puis je le trouver merci d'avance.
If you are looking for a good shampoo base (unscented) to mix with the Pinaud Eau de Quinine lotion 370ml - 12.5fl.oz, you may be interested in trying, http://www.bulkapothecary.com/unscented-bases/unscented-shampoo-base/
Actually, this is currently available in a slightly altered forumulation as Clubman Country Club Shampoo. Google it, it's very, very similar. Just no quinine, since the US and many other countries have severe restrictions on it.
ED Pinaud have nothing to do with Pinaud Clubman . It's not the same brand and not the same product.
