Pruva Regina yacht
In the movie SkyFall, James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Severine (Bérénice Marlohe) sail on the Pruva Regina yacht. The scenes were filmed near Turkey. In the film the ship is referred to as the "Chimera". The actual yacht is the 56 meter sail yacht Regina, launched by Pruva Yachting in 2011.
The schooner type yacht was built in Bodrum, Turkey. It is a modern, high-performance schoonersuperyacht incorporating classic design. The master cabins have a separate dressing room and feature Satellite TV, DVD and music systems. Every detail has been considered for the charterer’s comfort – the other three guest cabins are considered to be as luxurious as the master suites. The large saloon and spacious deck areas are ideal for entertaining highly esteemed guests like Bond and Severine.
For €90.000 per week (approx. $120.000), you can charter this yacht, and you'll get a centralized remote control system that controls both music and televisions all over the yacht, and a selection of watertoys and recreational amenities including a 115 Hp Zodiac dinghy, a 3-person waverunner, 2 sea kayaks, Ringo, waterskis and wakeboard. Just the kind of stuff Bond happens to love!
Since Ottoman times the art of boat building in Turkey has been passed down from generation to generation. Bodrum has become recognized worldwide for the high quality and craftsmanship of the traditional – styled gulets. This 56 meter schooner offers a new dimension to cruising – a traditional “feel” with a level of luxury that discerning charterers demand.
Note: the shower scene with Bond and Severine, which is supposed to take place o the yacht, was filmed in room 712 of the Four Seasons Hotel at Canary Wharf in London.
