Omega launches the Omega Seamaster Commander's watch

05 July, 2017

In the Tate Britain Museum in London, Omega has introduced a new James Bond Limited Edition, the Omega Seamaster 300M Commander's watch. The stainless steel watch will be limited to 7007 pieces and a special Gold edition of only 7 pieces will be 'available' as well.

The full name of the watch is the Omega Seamaster Diver 300 M Co-Axial 41 mm Commander's watch, steel on NATO strap, model nr. 212.32.41.20.04.001, and it will cost €4600.

The NATO strap is blue, red and grey and follows a 5-stripe pattern with a polished buckle. The colors of the watch and NATO strap and the box are inspired by the insignia of a Commander of the Royal Navy, the rank of James Bond.

The bezel of the 41mm steel case has a Liquidmetal diving scale and red rubber covering the first 15 minutes. The dial of the watch is polished white ceramic and includes 12 blue indexes, the word "Seamaster" written in red and blue skeleton hands.

The central seconds hand is red, and includes the 007 gun logo as a counterweight. As if the number seven wasn't highlighted enough, the number 7 in the date window is coloured red, while all other numbers are blue.

The see-through caseback reveals a rotor with 9mm bullet. The stripes of the Commander’s naval insignia are featured on the rotor of the new Omega Calibre 2507.

The Omega Commander’s Watch comes in a special presentation box that has been inspired by a medal case.

The box contains a stainless steel bracelet, a changing tool and a "naval pin" that mirrors the design of the NATO strap.

Comments

Truly awful, the worst Bond watch ever with top marks for unashamedly cashing in on the Bond franchise and bizarrely attempting some kind of Royal Navy link too. Shame on you Omega, new lows, even for you.
Agree with you Tom, but i bet they all sellout, including the gold pieces. Omega cares about one thing only, and it isn't James Bond.
I own the Goldeneye Seamaster and the Casino Royale Planet Ocean. Stylish timepieces both. This looks like something you'd fish out of a box of Cracker Jack. Yuck.
