The Norelco 8894XL shaver was released in 2002. So if you have been using it from 2002 to 2017, that is 15 years. However, I agree that this is the best shaver ever. I purchased mine in 2002 and it is now 2025. That is 23 years. I cannot believe that the original battery still charges to a full charge and lasts as long as it was when it was new. A few years ago I purchased a newer model of Norelco shaver and did not like it because it was not comfortable to hold and the replacement blades were too expensive. The Norelco 8894XL shaver is the best shaver ever made. They sell on eBay for almost $300 used.
