Dear [contact-First_name], welcome to the Bond Lifestyle Newsletter
After much confusion, debate, research and guessing, the sunglasses issue seems to be finally resolved. The glasses that Bond wears in the new movie Quantum of Solace are Tom Ford, and not Oliver Peoples, as previously assumed.
Another item has been identified as Tom Ford: the black cardigan, as seen in the trailer. These items will only be the tip of the iceberg: it seems like Tom Ford has done almost all the clothing for Bond in this movie, including the casual wear, so I'll keep you informed as more official information becomes available.
Omega has released the official Bond watch for Quantum of Solace: it's a black bezel Seamaster Planet Ocean with steel strap. A Limited Edition is also available.
In this newsletter the winner of the Penfold Golf Ball contest is announced, scroll down to find out more!
I hope you enjoy Bond Lifestyle, please don't hesitate to contact me with any requests or suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.

Win a Penfold Heart 3-Ball set
WINNER ANNOUNCED
Bond Lifestyle offered Newsletter subscribers the exclusive chance to win a unique set of 3 Penfold Heart golf balls by answering the following question:
What is the name of the golf course on which the famous golf match in the 1964 movie Goldfinger took place? |
The question was actually not so clear, because several answers were possible. The name of the real golf course, where the movie was filmed, is known as Stoke Poges (or Stoke Park Golf Club). In the movie however, the course is supposed to be Royal St Marks (which in reality is Royal St Georges, one of Ian Fleming's favorites) in Sandwich, Kent. So anyone pointing this out has also been entered in the draw.
I'm happy to announce the winner of the contest: Bruce Rilley from The Republic of South Africa. Congratulations!

The subject of Bonds personal firearms has in the past become a heated debate, much akin to the ongoing Omega/Rolex debacle. Everyone has their favourites, be it iconic, practical, real or looks alone. In this brief article the different Walthers (apart from the P5) that Bond has used extensively will be compared, and the merits of them as concealed pistols in the real world examined.
