Welcome to the fifth James Bond Lifestyle Newsletter
This month I added some cars to the website, with the Saab 900 being one of the most interesting (and affordable!) vehicles Bond has ever owned. As an Alfa Romeo owner and fan I'm proud to show the Alfa Romeo GTV6 as well, which is featured in Octopussy. Have a look for yourself.

Saab 900 Turbo
The Saab 900 Turbo was James Bond's vehicle of choice in three John Gardner Bond novels of the 1980s, starting with License Renewed (1981).
The vehicle got the nickname the "Silver Beast" and is unique in Bond's car collection, since it is Bond's personal property, and not provided by Q-Branch.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Series III
Featured in The Living Daylights (1987). Advances in engine technology helped evolve the look of the Aston Martin V8, which is the version showcased in this 1987 Bond film. Fuel injection replaced carburetion when the series debuted in 1986. The new technology was more compact, freeing the car designers to make changes they couldn't make before.

BMW 750Li
Featured in Tomorrow Never Dies. The BMW 750Li (the stretched version, noted by the "L" in 750Li) is a four-door, as opposed to the sexier two-doored Z3. But the 750Li has a combination of conservative good looks and performance that's comparable to any of its predecessors. Few large sedans are as well-proportioned as the BMW 7-series or manage to be both restrained and alluring. The sporty handling of the BMW brand ensures that this car is as lithe as it is imposing.

Living Like Bond - Part 2 - by David Zaritsky
The click clacketing of the computer resounded through the small room. Nervously, he looked up from the screen to peer out of the office window into the bustling hallway, already filled with people. Seemingly their eyes bore into him, casting suspicion his way as he used his laptop to search furiously for the object of his mission. Suddenly it loomed before him on the liquid screen...but was he too late? Surely at any moment one of the surly characters in the hallway would burst into his office foiling his moves. With only 30 seconds to go before the mission would be compromised he made his move. Bid accepted and won! I was the proud owner of the Dunhill belt as seen in Tomorrow Never Dies. Whew, almost lost that auction, but did it just in time before that big marketing meeting in three minutes.
