OMEGA and James Bond.
The adventure continues...

In the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, Daniel Craig sports yet another Omega, a Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Co-Axial Chronometer with a black dial (watch ref. 2201.50.00).

Bond fans and Omega enthusiasts will know that 007 has been wearing Seamasters featuring blue dials since 1995 so the black watch face on the Seamaster Planet Ocean in Quantum of Solace marks a departure for James Bond.

"QUANTUM OF SOLACE" LIMITED EDITION Modelnr. 222.30.46.20.01.001
The black textured surface of its dial - reminiscent of the grip of 007's trademark Walther PPK - distinguishes the OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Quantum of Solace from every other James Bond limited edition watch. The blood red tip of the seconds hand rotates in stark contrast to the black dial.

Unmistakably Omega, undeniably Bond: a 007 logo is engraved on the buckle of the stainless steel bracelet. Another 007 logo appears on the caseback which also features the engraved words "Planet Ocean Limited Edition" whose black chromium treatment recalls the colour of the black dial.

I bought this watch yesterday and the saleswoman said that Omega used the orange bevel (Planet Ocean) because the color orange is the last color you (the brain) see under water. --Interesting Fact

to be honest with you I bought my OMEGA but I got the one with the orange outer bezel (assume that is the name) because it caught my eye. I am registered blind and I find this such an easy watch to see. Oh incidentally yes it will set you back about £2250 but the quality and workmanship is breathtaking and I cannot praise these watches enough. Absoloutely exquisite quality. Bond has superb taste.

No that's mis-information!!!!

He wore the 45.5mm with rubber strap in Casino Royale and the 42mm with bracelet in Quantum of Solace.

Even the suppliers make mistakes but it was a 42mm

I emailed Omega's London boutique to find out if Daniel Craig used the Planet Ocean with the 42mm or the 45.5mm case in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. They confirmed that Craig used the Planet Ocean 45.5mm version in both films.
