Brioni suits, the benchmark of Italian tailoring, aren't for the faint of heart - they're wide in the shoulders, narrow in the waist. It's no surprise they're favored by Bond. Pierce Brosnan began wearing the Italian company's suits in the movie GoldenEye and Daniel Craig wore a charcoal gray Brioni suit, at the London press conference announcing his role of Bond in Casino Royale, and in the movie he wears Brioni as well. (Craig wore a Dunhill dinner jacket to the premiere of Casino Royale).

According to the Times Online, everybody at that casino table in Casino Royale was dressed by Brioni.

Just before Casino Royale came out, Brioni launched a £3,000 Bond-themed tuxedo, which had "James Bond" stitched into the silver lining and was sold in a few select stores.

Having owned suits by Assets Andrew Fezza, Krizia, Emporio Armani and even american rack suits like Bachrach, I can easily say that Brioni better than any suit I have owned and Brioni is the nicest suit that I have ever got a chance to try on. If you are a man and into dressing like a "baller" ... hint. hint. 808s and Heartbreak...

quoting Sir WS: "Always go for English leather shoes, and never italian, with the exception of Berluti."

*ahem*, Berluti is French, not Italian.

Brioni suits are of impecable quality. I have survived unscathed numerous assasination attempts even without body armor. Probably the most amazing feat was against my buddy in facility. We were trading gunshots from a variety of power weapons; the Brioni suit did not show one sign of sweat from my body. By far the best video gaming attire. A++

Always be careful not to be involved in the hype when it comes to selecting something. Brioni does make fantastic garments. So does Oxxford, Gieves and Hawkes and others. As for the shoes, church shoes are incredible. Always go for English leather shoes, and never italian, with the exception of Berluti. As for the shirts, ,any of mine are T and A, but personally, I think Bond would look better in Borrelli.

While it it true that Connery quotes his tailor as being on Savile Row, the Brosnan Bond quite obviously uses Brioni. Further, upon inspection in the more recent Bond's, most particularly Casino Royale, the Brioni label can be seen inside the suit jacket, the dinner jacket, etc.

This is not necessarily bad. It just goes to product placement, and Brioni's efforts to ensure it's place at the top of the 'mass' produced, high-end tailored goods market (although I'm a bit bias towards Kiton!)

Actually Bond quotes Savile Row as his tailor in FRWL and Anthony Sinclair created the conduit suit for Connery although he was not directly on the Row. Authentic Bond would have his suit made "Bespoke" on the Row. TnA doing the shirts and tie. Lobb bespoking the shoes also. Church's are actually of poor quality.

Every one of my suits is a Brioni. The quality is impecable, and i would recommend them to those who need a hard wearing suit. Mine have even surrvived multiple skydives or even once jumping from a car at one hundred and thirty miles per hour.
