James Bond drives a new model Aston Martin, called the DBS, in the 007 film, Casino Royale. The DBS features again in Quantum of Solace, although this time it's a dark grey version, in stead of the silver grey from Casino Royale. In both films the car is damaged pretty badly.
According to Aston Martin: "The DBS is not of the understated elegance of a DB9, nor the youthful agility of the V8 Vantage. It is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond."

By the way, if you're looking for an exciting TV spot of this car, Fifth Gear will let you down. Tiff loves every car so he's only going to tell you the good bits about it. If you want something that will keep your attention for more than five seconds, check out Top Gear's cover of it. Jeremy Clarkson tells the good, the bad, and everything in between. Much better footage too.

For some reason, I just don't see this car as...practical for the "new" Bond. The thing I appreciated about Brosnan's era was he had DB5 sports car for just messing around but MI6 would always furnish him with a sensible BMW. If you've seen the Transporter, the Bourne Identity, or the BMW Films, you really appreciate how spy-esque German sedans actually are. What would be wrong with Bond having the DB5, since we know how he got it this time, and MI6 giving him an M5 or S6 or E63 AMG? It would be more, I guess believable to me than him destroying a rare DBS every movie.

This is one of the most beautiful cars that I've ever seen. I am a disabled veteran so that income rules me out of being able to buy one, and unlike mr Turner, I dont have anyone on the inside.I wish AM would have some kind of giveway contest, I might get lucky, and win one.

This is the car that will replace the Vanquish. Info is now available at the AM website. The car will sell for around $250k with about 200 to be made a year. and for this reason, I highly doubt Mr. Christopher Turner down there received one as a gift... no matter who he knows. I have however, been considering placing a deposit for a DBS. Truely a gorgeous car.

another great bond rental, the second i got in this one, i whipped out my salami, and started pounding away, the rental salesman told me to hold off untill i got out of the parking lot. i then pulled out of the lot, found the first parking spot i could get, and repeatedly splashed.

I have a conntact in the Aston Martin Motor Group who gave me this car as a gift recently. Very good in terms of perfofmance, however the interior is the best I have seen. Subtle colours look much better on this car that brighter ones.
